  Governor Pat McCrory has appointed Mr. Jimmy Lee Norwood, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC to the Board of Architecture.  Mr. Norwood replaces Cheryl C. Walker, FAIA who served on the Board for over 10 years.  Please join us in welcoming him to the Board and expressing our sincere gratitude to Ms. Walker.

  2016 Firm Renewals

  Firm renewal forms for 2016 were due by December 31, 2015.  If you have not renewed your firm license it is now on delinquent status.  Firm renewal forms are found in the forms section of this site.  Questions concerning firm renewals should be sent to Tyler Barrick at tyler@ncbarch.org

  Continuing Education Reminder

  With 2015 soon coming to a close, we would like to remind you that in order to renew your license for 2016-2017 next May, you must have 12 hours of HSW related CE by December 31, 2015.  Questions related to CE should be directed to Tyler Barrick at tyler@ncbarch.org

  After a pilot program studying the BIM/IPD process the Board of Architecture has released a Policy Statement on BIM/IPD projects.

  Please join us in celebrating the North Carolina Board of Architecture Centennial. The Board has marked this centennial by publishing its 100 Years of History Book. The Book highlights important Board leaders and achievements.

  Robert W. Bishop Appointed to Board of Architecture

  Governor McCrory has appointed Robert W. Bishop to the Board of Architecture. Please join us in welcoming him. The Board and its staff would like to thank Paul D. Boney for his service and support as he rotates off the Board. Due to Mr. Boney’s departure, the Board had to appoint another member to fill his position as Vice President, the new officers are as follows:

  John H. Tabor , AIA – Secretary
  Stephen M. McClure, Public Member- Treasurer
